Introduction: A very fine leaf Gyokuro ‘Precious Dew Pearl’. We sourced only a small quantity of this season’s prized Gyokuro tea.
Shade Grown
During the last few weeks of the growing season, the tea plants are covered with bamboo mats to filter out excess sunlight and increase photosynthesis. This shade growing process enhances the deep green color, flavor and anti-oxidant properties of the tea.
Flavor Profile: A rich, buttery infusion with a smooth velvety finish. The aroma is fresh, similar to walking through a bamboo forest in the spring time. The lingering aftertaste is mildy sweet and oceanic.
